MLB Betting – Cardinals Stars Absolutely Putting On A Fantasy Clinic In 2011

MLB BettingWhile there is one superstar that dons the jersey of the St. Louis Cardinals that has consistently ranked among the best players in fantasy baseball over the years, two other names have emerged as the best in sports betting baseball early on this season. No, it is not Albert Pujols that leads both the Cardinals and the majors in batting average this season, but teammates Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman respectively. Those two players have each hit over .400 ahead of the 2011 Kentucky derby betting race, and if they can continue to perform at such a high level St. Louis will be a force in the NL.

Holliday hit .410 with nine doubles, three home runs, and 18 RBI in his first 83 at-bats, while Berkman contributed a solid .406 average with nine homes runs, nine doubles, and 27 RBI through his first 96. Both have become the talk of the league over the first month of the fantasy baseball season, with David Freese and Colby Rasmus joining them in the top-30 in terms of batting average. But the real story has been Holliday and Berkman, two players that likely didn't go in the first round of most fantasy drafts but clearly deserved to be there based on their play so far in 2011. Those two may not be able to keep it up the rest of the way, but their play has spoken for itself as two of the best fantasy players early on this year.
