MLB Betting – Don’t Mortgage The Fantasy Future For The Present

It is far too easy when it comes to fantasy baseball to mortgage some top fantasy stars in an effort to compete for a title, but the truth is that ranks as the biggest mistake in MLB betting fantasy leagues. Far too often managers send two or three quality players one way in hopes of winning it all with a fantasy star, and that player ends up getting injured or being a bust when it matters the most and costing the keeper team for years. While it might be easy to go after a guy like Jose Reyes or Dan Uggla, keep in mind the long-term future of the team.

There is no guarantee that a sports betting pickup will perform in any given week, and while it might make sense at the time there is no telling how bad things could end up. If your team is in the running for a championship this year, then that means you likely have the talent to make a run again for the next couple of seasons. If it is not a keeper league, then it obviously makes sense to take more risks, although there is likely rules in place to prevent managers from taking advantage of weaker rosters and loading up. With just two months left to go in the regular season, managers will attempt to make their moves. But buyer beware, there is still the future to consider.
